Shining Mountains Montessori School strives for transparency and equity in our enrollment process.
We recognize that parents and caregivers jump hurdle after hurdle for care, access, and support for their young ones. Our greater vision is to offer more space than needed for young children in our community. As it stands, SMMS has a limited license capacity; we do our best to meet as many families’ needs as possible.

Please join our new Waiting List for the 2025-2026 school year at any time. If you have previously joined our Waiting List or applied to SMMS, it is not necessary to submit another form.

Our Enrollment process for the 2025-2026 school year begins with attendance of our annual Open House.
New Applicants should plan to attend the Open House on March 10th 2025, from 5-6pm 2025.

We will begin accepting Applications for the 2025- 2026 school year following the Open House on March 10th from 5-6pm 2025.
Deadline for new applications is March 16, 2025.
SMMS staff will review the applications and notify you if your child is accepted into SMMS for the 2025 - 2026 school year by March 31st, 2025.

Please note:
-Children with siblings enrolled at SMMS and children of SMMS staff members are given preference.
-SMMS strives to provide an authentic Montessori experience with a balanced mixed-age grouping and diverse abilities.
-If there is no space available, children remain in our wait pool and may be offered enrollment as openings occur during the school year. If a space becomes available, we will contact you.
