We are expanding our program!!

Our expansion will include establishing an infant/toddler program to expand our Montessori continuum.

We are striving to sustain and strengthen the Children’s House program with a comprehensive Montessori early childhood curriculum. We are committed to nurturing a thriving Montessori community that supports children from infancy through early childhood. By investing in programs, leadership, and educator training, we are building a strong foundation for the future of our school.

Our school is committed to expanding high-quality Montessori education and strengthening long-term sustainability. Our future goals include supporting strong student retention, highly trained guides, and continue to offer enriched program offerings.

Mission: Provide safe, nurturing, peaceful and exploratory environments for children’s developmental needs and successes. Montessori, place-based, and outdoor approaches to learning connect our micro-community school setting with the wonders of their home, the Arkansas River Valley.

Vision: Become the leading rural Montessori early childhood program in quality and size in the State of Colorado.

Strategic Goal 1:  By August of 2028, expand the preschool program to serve 6 infants, 20 toddlers, and 40 children’s house students by implementing a sliding-scale tuition model and securing additional UPK and CCAP funding, thereby ensuring equitable access for families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

Strategic Goal 2: By August 2028, achieve a Colorado Shines Quality Rating of 4 or higher at our new infant/toddler location and retain 80% of students annually by piloting and establishing an infant/toddler program, sustaining a thriving children’s house program, hiring a full-time executive director, retaining at least 80% of guides annually, and ensuring 100% of lead guides receive Montessori training and implement a comprehensive Montessori early childhood curriculum.

Strategic Goal 3: By August 2028, strengthen community engagement by building and maintaining a waitlist of at least 100 families, establishing a donor base of at least 25 recurring contributors from the Chaffee community, developing and implementing a communications plan, hosting quarterly family/community engagement events to support the school, and partnering with the Town of Buena Vista to build a state of art facility.
